Resort-Wear Maxi Dress
Does it feel like Summer is just around the corner, anyone? Well, here in this blessed state called Utah not so much. With cooler temperatures than average this year, I am starting to think that Summer has been suspended and we didn’t receive any prior notice. Well, I am still hoping for warmer weather that will allow me to wear this cute Resort-Wear Maxi Dress more comfortably.

Have you noticed that every time when we plan our outfits for a summer vacation, the first thing that comes to our minds is a beautiful and breezy Maxi Dress? What I most love about this particular dress is how flattering the silhouette is. If you are petite and avoid wearing clothing that goes below your knees I can assure you that this dress won’t look or feel like you have shrunk.

I got this dress from Abercrombie and couldn’t be any happier with my acquisition. Perfectly made, this dress has a ruffle hem and a deep v-neckline with an adjustable tie at the waist. Its print carries small Daisy flowers, which make it look even cuter. If you are tall, you can wear it with a pair of Mom Sneakers or this cute Studded Clear Sandals. For the petite girls out there, I always indicate to wear Maxi Dresses with at least a 4’’ inch heel.

Since I am 5’3’’, I often reject the idea of long dresses, as I find it not very flattering to have the hem dragging on the ground. It’s not only an eyesore but is also distasteful if you will. My golden rule for Maxi dresses is that the hem length must not touch anything beyond my ankles. If it passes that line, then it’s too big and I like to think that this rule is universal to anyone.

I have paired this beautiful Maxi Dress with a pair of nude sandals, you can find a similar pair here and here. The Rattan bag (similar here) only came to add more of the summer vibe to the whole look. Below you will find a few of my favorite summer maxi dresses and I hope I can see you around wearing one of them.
