Fall/Winter 2018 Trends – Outfit Idea
This weekend was amazing in so many aspects! First, I had a great opportunity to work with brands that I love in collaboration with Valley Fair Mall. Summer is almost over and I was invited to create a look based on this fall/winter 2018 trends for this campaign wearing some products from Sephora and Rue 21.
Fall/Winter 2018 Trends – Makeup
As fall is right around the corner, I decided to get some inspiration from that season and use only tones of orange and brown for my makeup. The greatest thing about it is that you can customize the eyeshadow palette, which is small enough to fit inside your handbag and is known as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Singles. They have 70 different colors between satin, glitter, metallic, shimmer and matte finishes and you get to create up to 4 pan palette for $32.
What Fall/Winter 2018 Trends Are Reserving For Us
Let me give you an idea of what this fall/winter 2018 trends are reserving for us. At Rue 21 I was inspired by some famous fashion show catwalks that are dictating the looks for the next season. This year some things that you will see in stores are lots of animal prints – not only the traditional leopard but, also zebra prints and my favorite classic plaids. Suede fabric will also be part of the game. Not only this but, the fall/winter 2018 will be influenced by one of the most controversial fashion periods in modern history, the 80’s. Yes, believe it or not, they are bringing back some bold colors and shoulder pads.
The Fall/Winter 2018 Trends Colors
When it comes to colors the controversy remains. From winter blue to metallics and neons the 80’s are making a strong presence, and lighten the gray days of Autumn, as such you will see your department stores follow this trend.
A More Traditional Style
However, for this collaboration I decided to go the opposite direction from the bold colors and stick only with tones that are the base for any new season trend and therefore be more traditional by creating a look with a glen plaid paper bag pant in gray and add a little bit of the 80’s style with a distressed denim jacket from Rue 21. In order to make this outfit as neutral as possible, I included a white V-neck top and added some color with a layered necklace with a little touch of mellow rose and green with some pendants.
The super cute booties are from Bohme, a nationwide store that was founded here in Utah by two Brazilian sisters. These booties brought the fall/winter 2018 Fashion Trend into the outfit by adding texture to it with its snake-faux leather material.
A Good Experience With Valley Fair Mall
I am super glad for having been invited by the Valley Fair Mall to be part of this collaboration and to have the opportunity to create such a lovely and classic look. I hope you like it as well. See you soon!
I almost forget to mention the second reason why this weekend was amazing. It was my husband’s birthday and as such we planned to have some free time, kid free and to be able to enjoy company with each other. After the meeting with Valley Fair, we went for a dinner at a restaurant that is located in the mall’s parking lot. We had the chance to hold hands since normally we’re holding our child’s hands or carrying a car seat, as we strolled through the streets when going out. We had such a fun time together remembering when we were kid-free, it was nice.
