Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps On A stick
Food is our family’s love language, whenever we think of an activity we don’t even need to discuss the subject, as food will be automatically included. The Pandemic (and lockdown) just taught us to enjoy even more getting together in front of the TV to watch a movie while treating ourselves with a few of our favorite snacks. Considering that we are approaching a holiday I say creativity is key to offer a bit of fun during this Easter to two little kids while staying at home for safety and enjoying a few goodies such as Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps that I will teach how to make later in this post.

At this time of the year, my deepest memories of this holiday surround me. As I can recall Easter was always celebrated in my family around a table laden with food. How we typically celebrate this holiday may be a little different, once again this year, demonstrations of hope, gratitude, and love through food must not be revoked though.

Considering that, my little ones and I are still planning on enjoying Easter by making some treats and maybe packing up a few of them for loved ones, neighbors, and those who are facing challenging times during these sorrowful trials. After all, serving others is the true significance of Easter and I waste no time when it comes to taking the opportunity to teach my kids to love and help everyone. Sharing is caring, right?

After all we have been through this last year sharing a little compassion and chocolate peeps to savor Easter weekend should be a perk that we all shall be offering.

This Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps recipe is simple enough for no-cook-lovers types like me and little hands that want to help with each step. Just CUT-OUT, DIP & DECORATE, simple as that. I hope you and your family will enjoy making and gifting them away as a little Easter surprise that will sweeten somebody’s day. So here it goes, a fun and delicious chocolate peep recipe that will be a perfect porch-drop for those planning on sharing some love during this holiday. Happy Easter!
Chocolate Covered Peeps
These Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps Bunnies are such a sweet treat to make for your kids at Easter time and would make a great Easter basket filler!
Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps Ingredients

- Peeps marshmallow bunnies
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 tbsp. oil
- Mini Marshmallows
- Long lollipop sticks
Instructions
Step One: Cut mini marshmallows in half. You will need one half for each bunny.
Step Two: Insert a lollipop stick into the bottom of each Peep. You want to push it through carefully until you feel it reach almost to the ears, being careful not to push it all the way through.
Step Three: Pour the bag of chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the chips for 30 seconds and stir. Microwave again for another 30 seconds and stir. If the chips are not quite melted, microwave again for about 15 seconds. Be careful not to overcook them. Also, the bowl may be really hot!

Step Four: Stir the oil into the chocolate until well combined.
Step Five: Hold the Peep by the stick, over the bowl of melted chocolate. Use a spoon to coat the bunny in chocolate, covering it well and letting the excess chocolate drip off. Place a marshmallow, cut side down, for the tail.

Step Six: Stand the chocolate covered Peep in a glass or jar to dry.
Step Seven: When the Peeps have dried you can put them in a clear cellophane treat bag and tie them with a ribbon or string.

These Chocolate Covered Peeps can be made up to 1 day in advance. After two days they will still be good to eat but not look as pretty.
Happy Easter y’all!
