I had in my mind that my Easter would be spent cuddling with my child, watching movies about the risen God with her and my husband and ending my holiday by making cookies after taking Marie to our front yard to hunt for the healthy eggs I would make for her that morning. Unfortunately, the script went a little off of plan and I ended up spending half of my day in the hospital, being monitored and learning the importance of a simple trick; how to count your baby’s movements.
Can you believe how fast is this year going? I feel like it was yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas and now we are basically in the middle of the year. I can’t believe that I am only about two days away from having my baby in my arms. Seriously, I will miss this big belly, despite all the trouble and pain a pregnancy brings to a woman. This is making me really sad as I have no plan to try another baby any time in this life. I can’t prevent from feeling deep sorrow in this regard. Well, here I am wearing a comfortable casual long sleeve dress from ASOS in my last days of pregnancy. It fits so well, for a non maternity dress as it’s made of a lightweight stretch fabric. I love how feminine it is and that it instantly adds elegance to even a pregnant silhouette like mine.
Utah has been blessed this year with a very warm winter, has allowed me to pull my spring clothing out early. I love the casual chic style that give us space for creativity, usually without costing too much. Winter has favored my style and I am totally loving these warm temperatures! It’s safe to say that I am more than ready for summer, which somehow always seems to not last very long. You probably can tell my cravings for warmer seasons by seeing my look for today’s post, a non-maternity jumpsuit.

I like to think that I am not a high maintenance girl or at least my husband makes me to believe I am not. I praise myself for not being obsessed with big brand names. To me what it’s really important is to feel comfortable and like what I am wearing, rather than the price. As a mother, I prefer spend money on experiences than in expensive clothing. It may sound hypocrite coming from a girl who owns more than a 100 pairs of shoes. But, the truth is I collected those over the years and always focused on buying them under a restricted rule of taking advantage of promotions as much as possible. Rules such that are not always possible to follow when you’re buying formal dresses for an event.
I am still in winter denial, and it will be here sooner than expected covering the streets with snow and dropping temperatures. I’m not prepared for that! I was raised in a warm and breezy country, which doesn’t help when it comes to face the craziness of Utah weather. I can say that I will never be comfortable with wearing winter clothing, and it doesn’t keep me warm enough. However, if I have to suffer with cold at least I will do it in a cozy sweater.
