Best Baby Girl Shower Inspiration That Is Cheap And Gorgeous
Hi everyone! This weekend I had an amazing time with my friends during my baby shower. It took only three weeks to organize it. At first, I had no inspiration on what to do until I was “rescued” from a complete lack of imagination by my friend that I consider my soulmate when it comes to party and creativity, whom also happens to be a very talented MUA (Makeup Artist)
With her help and after a brainstorm session we were able to put some great ideas on paper. Once the plan was underway, we noticed that it was actually really easy to put everything together.
At 37 weeks you know your body is way beyond its capacity to deal with minimum tasks.Sitting on a chair while cutting some paper flowers seemed like a very simple task, until my back and bottom started to “scream out loud” the pain of my hips moving away in preparation for my babies delivery.
Fortunately, my friend was well prepared and had most of the decor ready to go and basically all I had to do was buy some snacks and fill up the balloons with helium.
For this shower we chose a palette that consisted in white, gold and baby pink, which matched perfectly with my Board and Batten Panel in my living room. The carousel and white trays I got from Amazon and Afloral respectively, some time ago for Marie’s Wonder Woman Birthday Party. This amazing solid wood table I bought second hand or even a fourth hand, as it is pretty old, almost a year ago for only $10. The white and gold flowers that decorated the wall were made by my talented friend Raiane and soon will be decorating my baby’s nursing room.
The day was beautiful but a little chilly, and I felt so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful girlfriends that helped me to have such a gorgeous party. It’s funny, I’m a more extroverted person and easy to make acquaintances but, when it comes to friends I am very selective and tend to have one-on-one relationships rather than a crew of friends. So, it was a real treat to see all of those women, some of which I consider my closest friends in one place.
I was very encouraged by how many of them are mothers, whom are so creative, ambitious, and kind. The party itself was in fact very intimate. I decided from the beginning not to invite a crowd but just some of the people that I like most. I was more interested in celebrating the soon arrival of my baby girl with my “besties”, rather than collecting lots of gifts, as I have most things that I may need saved from my first pregnancy.
I had so much fun realizing how well my friends know me, considering that we played a baby shower questionnaire game with such questions as “who has more shoes, mom or daddy?” and everybody screamed out loud: ”mom” or “who’s better with money?” and they exclaimed: “Daddy”, I couldn’t stop laughing.
Needless to say, my baby shower was everything that I hoped it would be. It was simple, stunning and gorgeous. Hope you all can get some inspiration for your own baby shower with the pictures I took. Any questions, please let me know.
